H ομαδική έκθεση με τίτλο Green Room αφορμάται από τα υλικά και το χώρο του κτιρίου της οδού Βύσσης, επιχειρώντας μια διαφορετική ανάγνωση του σύγχρονου εργασιακού περιβάλλοντος, των συνθηκών εργασίας, αλλά και την ποιότητα ζωής του σύγχρονου ανθρώπου.
Το Green Room είναι χώρος αποφόρτισης και φυσικής ανάπαυλας. Ένας χώρος που δημιουργήθηκε από τις εταιρικές δομές για να καλύψει την ανάγκη για αποφόρτιση και χαλάρωση, σε συνάρτηση με τα απαιτητικά ωράρια και τους γρήγορους ρυθμούς της εργασίας.
Η έκθεση διαμορφώνεται γύρω από υλικά που ερμηνεύουν και αποδίδουν το χώρο, δυνητικές αφηγήσεις ενός τόπου που γεννάται από την ανάγκη για ανάπαυλα, θέτοντας ζητήματα γύρω από το πώς ζούμε και (αυτό-) προσδιοριζόμαστε μέσω της εργασίας. Τα έργα της έκθεσης συνδιαλέγονται για να επισημάνουν την αλλοτρίωση του σύγχρονου ανθρώπου, τη διαχείριση του ελεύθερου χρόνου και της ιδιωτικότητάς του, αλλά και τη σχέση του με τη φυσική ζωή και το περιβάλλον.

Η έκθεση Green Room είναι μέρος του Back to Athens 6 International Cultural Festival. Το Back to Athens ξεκίνησε το 2012 με σκοπό τη συγκέντρωση του Αθηναϊκού καλλιτεχνικού δυναμικού στο κέντρο της πόλης, και την προσέγγιση και εξοικείωση του κοινού με την περιοχή μέσω των πολιτιστικών εκδηλώσεων του φεστιβάλ. Το φετινό Back to Athens, το έκτο κατά σειρά, πραγματοποιείται από την CHEAPART σε συνδιοργάνωση με το Πρόγραμμα Αναβάθμισης Εμπορικού Τριγώνου του Δήμου Αθηναίων και το πολιτιστικό πρόγραμμα Athens Intersection από 1 - 10 Ιουνίου.

Green Room
Green Room is a group show exhibition that employs materials and space of the building on Vissis St., attempting a different interpretation of the modern working environment, working conditions, and the life quality standards of the modern human being.The Green Room is a place for physical respiration. It is a space created by corporate structures to meet the need for discharging and relaxation, in line with demanding schedules and fast pacing work.
The exhibition is formed based on materials that interpret and render the space; they function as contingent narratives of a place created by the need of repose, raising questions about how we live and the way we define ourselves through work. The works selected, in dialogue with each other, highlight the alienation of modern human being; they point out the way we manage our free time and privacy, as well as our relation to natural life and the environment.

Green Room exhibition is part of the Back to Athens 6 International Cultural Festival. Since 2012, Back to Athens Festival unites the city’s artistic scene in a public showcase of contemporary art and expression that boosts social awareness and restores the residents of Athens to the City Center. Back to Athens 6 is organized by CHEAPART in collaboration with the Athens Commercial Triangle Revitalization Program of the municipality of Athens, and Athens Intersection cultural program taking place from June 1 - June 10, 2018.
