Στην οπτικοακουστική εγκατάσταση 'In Heaven', ο Νίκος Αρτέμης στήνει το ηλεκτρικό τσίρκο του opera di bestia, αυτή τη φορά στο χώρο της Παλαιάς Αποθήκης Χάρτου στην Οδό Χρυσοσπηλιωτίσσης 3, στο κέντρο της Αθήνας. Μακριά από τη λευκότητα των τοίχων μιας γκαλερί, ο εγκαταλελειμμένος χώρος λειτουργεί σαν κέλυφος, όπου ο επισκέπτης/θεατής, θα εμβυθιστεί σε ένα οπτικοακουστικό περιβάλλον, ένα λαβύρινθο σημείων, εικόνων και μουσικής, μέρη μιας ιστορίας που καλείται να ανασυνθέσει.
Μεταξύ υποσχέσεων και ματαιώσεων για ουράνιους, επίγειους ή τεχνητούς παραδείσους, ανθρωπίνων ερειπίων και 'εξευγενισμένης' ζώνης, το opera di bestia υψώνει συρματοπλέγματα ενός άλλου κόσμου όπου λυρισμός, ειρωνεία, ζωομορφισμός και ψυχεδέλεια συγκροτούν μια αμφίσημη αφήγηση σε μια αθηναϊκή επανερμηνεία του 'In Heaven everything is fine'...
Η έκθεση ‘In Heaven’ του Νίκου Αρτέμη πραγματοποιείται στο πλαίσιο του Πολιτιστικού Προγράμματος Athens Intersection, και είναι μία από τις καλλιτεχνικές δράσεις με τις οποίες το Πρόγραμμα Πιλοτικής Αναβάθμισης του Εμπορικού Τριγώνου του δήμου Αθηναίων, που υλοποιείται με αποκλειστική δωρεά του Ιδρύματος Σταύρος Νιάρχος (ΙΣΝ) και αποσκοπεί στη συνολική αναβάθμιση και αναζωογόνηση της περιοχής, μας καλεί να εξερευνήσουμε την κληρονομιά του κέντρου της Αθήνας. Το πολιτιστικό πρόγραμμα Athens Intersection επιμελείται ο Γιώργος Γεωργακόπουλος και συντονίζει η Φωτεινή Καπίρη.

In Heaven, Nikos Artemis
Through ‘In Heaven’ installation, Nikos Artemis stages the electric circus of opera di bestia, at the Old Warehouse of 3 Chrysospiliotissis street in the center of Athens. Far from a white gallery space, the abandoned warehouse interior functions as a shell, in which the visitor/ viewer will immerse into an audiovisual environment, a labyrinth of marks, images and music, fragments of a story she/ he is called on to reconstitute.Between promises and cancellations, heaven - real or artificial, human ruins and gentificated areas, opera di bestia introduces a world of lyricism, irony, zoomorphism and psychedelia. This constitutes an ambiguous narrative of 'In Heaven, everything is fine '... to be openly interpreted by the Athenian crowd.
‘In Heaven / Nikos Artemis’ exhibition is presented by the Athens Intersection Cultural Program, is a part of the artistic agenda through which the Athens Commercial Triangle Revitalization Program of the Municipality of Athens, implemented with the exclusive donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (ISN), invites us to explore the cultural and historical heritage of Athens. The Athens Intersection Cultural Program is curated by George Georgakopoulos and coordinated by Fotini Kapiris.
